I should be packing

No, seriously. I am sitting here, eating ice cream, and blogging/working out the kinks in short fiction. None of which are things that I SHOULD be doing.

In two weeks, I will be moved. To a deluxe apartment in the sky. The lease has been signed, payments have been made. Yet here I sit, in my room, with flattened boxes around me (finally broke down and got some of them). At some point, I need to sort through my shit, and eliminate the excess. And there is much to eliminate.

In the worst habits of my family, I have accumulated a mass of shit that must be sorted, and most likely thrown out. I have CDs to pawn, as well as some other odd things that will likely be sold as well. I have other stuff to sort, and make an inventory of, so that when I finally get moved, I will not be lacking some essential thing.

I have a book that needs inking finished, which I will complete before moving. I am well past my own personal deadlines on that one, and should be working on it as well.

And here I sit. Eating ice cream, blogging, and writing. Is it because I am lazy? Most likely. The sad truth is that I have this insane belief that things will work themselves out in the end. And that, frankly, I am likely to get my best work done under pressure. Sadly, the pressure on any of this has not built to a boiling point.

Hence, the ice cream, blogging, and writing.

I need to fix this.

Blog o' Failure

Clearly, there's work to be done here. No short fiction, no posts of any kind for a few months now.

I'm not the type of person to make resolutions. This is because I am lazy, and know that they won't get done, and then I feel bad.

So instead, I'm going to make a decision. I reserve the right to change my mind about this at any point.

The decision is to try writing here more. Blogging and such. Maybe short stories, maybe not. But I'm going to update this more regularly. Because really, it seems like something that I should be doing, and it seems that all of the cool kids are doing it.

So, this will be updated semi-regularly again here. Not every day, and possibly not every week. But with some form of regularity.

My blog shall have fiber, dammit.

Broken promises

Ha! It has been a week, and already I have failed at my particular goal.

Some people would suggest that I should perhaps write TWO (2) short fictions this week to make up for it.

I do not like these people. They are full of cancerous thoughts.

No, instead, there will be a short fiction this week, maybe. The goal is by Saturday, but we shall see what happens there.

Good evening, dear reader(s). This would be my attempt at a blogging type thing.

Yes, yes, I know. There's plenty of places to do those sorts of things. However, I have a specific plan in mind for this. Will I stick to it?

Probably not. But I think that it's the effort that counts here, no?

So, this is what you can expect: Short fiction. By me. Once a week.

Assorted rantings. By me. Whenever the fuck I feel like it.

Punch and pie.

Scratch that last one. I have no way of delivering on punch and pie.

So, check back here every so often. Hopefully, I'll have some good stuff for you shortly. But probably not.
